Here we are in Baker's Bay in the Abacos, watching a storm approach ... deciding whether to start dinner or wait until after the storm passes.
I caught this "bad boy" off of Marathon Key using the "gentleman's fishing" device ... aka ... the electric downrigger ... fishing is great with lot's of pole holders, the transom door that opens so you can walk right out. Clean up is easy with the saltwater wash down. Yes, that is a bottle of champagne on the bait table ... we like to celebrate our catches!
The cockpit is also big enough to do a little business. Line of sight satellite phone makes it simple to communicate even from Little Harbor in the Abacos ...
Houdini is watching all the action and taking his turn checking the poles ... work, work, work ... You can see the transom door that opens up to the swim platform and there is a large removable "in deck" fish box for all your catches! You have a choice of fresh or salt water wash down / shower ... cool!
On the "hard" in the Labelle boatyard. Funlovers is having her maintenance. Bottom scraped, painted, etc ... you know the drill ... lol. Actually it is break time in the boat yard ... who said that the fighting chair was just for fishing?
Night time in the keys can be a great time to fish or relax .. always keep a line out ... you just never know what might decide to hop on!
Funlovers at rest ... adjustable canopy in the cockpit allows for you to flip it up when you fish or to have shade when you are not. That is a Scopinich fighting chair ...
Super sink, cutting board area and lot's of storage make for comfortable cruising and fishing. That's the hatch cover to get to the engine room next to the sink and don't forget the refrigerator under the sink for something cool to drink.
More storage, a bait sink and stainless steel ladder to access the flybridge.
There are many used boats and boats for sale, but if you are looking at used Sea Ray boats, you can't go wrong taking a closer look at Funlovers ... a 1988 Sea Ray 430 Convertible .. it is a great catch!
